We love this time of year around the Rocksteady Promotions office. Along with cooler temperatures and football season being in full swing, we also get the chance to give thanks for all the good things in our lives. We’ve found that showing gratitude around the workplace is especially important, because doing so can build stronger relationships and help enhance our mental strength. These are a few of our favorite strategies for practicing gratitude every day:

• Keeping a Gratitude Journal: It only takes five minutes or so to write down the things we’re grateful for each day. The benefits, however, last much longer. We feel more energetic and less stressed the more we think about the positive aspects of our lives.

• Volunteering: Our Rocksteady Promotions commitment to giving is a big part of what makes our culture so inspiring. We reap all kinds of rewards from supporting good causes, including the feelings of gratitude that are developed in the process. It’s easier to appreciate all the success we’ve achieved when we can share it with others.

• Meditation: For us, this is all about living more mindfully. Taking about 10 minutes to breathe deeply and focus on positive things gives us huge energy boosts every day. We’re also more motivated to perform at our best after these quick midday breaks.
